I do blame the fast food industry because people wouldn't be tempted to eat the food that damages there health if they the fast food industry's never made it. If the Fast food industry started with quick but healthy choices like salads or fruits or vegetables or something that can benefit our health, maybe we wouldn't have the occurring problems we have now. Another statement is even tho people think we shouldn't blame them and we should blame the people, you should look for the root of the problem. The root of this problem is the fast food industry because if they never advertised or made things tempting for people then no one would eat it, no one would have as many heart problems or as many medical problems as they do now. We also wouldn't be spending millions and billions of dollars to treat the symptoms of these horrendous diseases

Yes we should blame the fast food industry for obesity because people can get very sick from the sanitation, their food is very fattening and the portions are very big, so people feel like they have to eat all of the food. Another reason we are to blame them is because it gets very addictive and people can't stop eating it. Finally i believe the last reason we should blame the fast food industy is to blame for obesity is because all of the food being way to processed and way to animal based. For these reasons i believe that the fast food industry is to blame for our nations obesity.

Yes, we should blame the fast food industry for obesity because many people have gotten sick and been very obese from eating at fast food restraunts. If the fast food industries wouldn't soak all of their foods in all of the greese and fatty foods then it would not be as bad for us. Also, if they would actually bake or grill their foods instead of frying them then our generation would not be as obese as they are. For all of these reasons, I believe that the fast food industries are blamed for our worlds obesity!

I think that we should partially blame the fast food industry for obesity. Fast food obviously is bad for our health, considering all the grease and processed food. While some do offer some "seemingly healthier" choices, such as salads or smoothies, these aren't necessarily "healthy" choices either. The fast food industry may be quick, efficient, and tasty, but is this really a substitute for good health? People get addicted to this food, and sometimes they get so addicted to the taste and efficiency that they don't even notice the resturant itself. Have you ever actually paid attention to detail when you walk into a McDonalds? Sure, you see the pictures of good looking food, the plastic Ronald McDonald, the playhouses, and smell food cooking. But have you ever noticed how disgusting some of them are? A majority of fast food workers are teenagers or people who don't care what job they have; do you think they care about sanitation, or how the food is cooked? They just do their job so they get paid. These lead to obvious health problems, and not just obesity. Adding on to this are the portion sizes. While you don't have to get the biggest size, isn't in the best deal? The most food for the least amount of money? If they didn't offer such big sizes, people wouldn't be tempted by the better deals. Other countries do this; in one, their large is our small! But even though all of the above is true, it is not completely the fast food industry's fault. We do have a choice, don't we? We don't have to go eat fast food; we can prepare food at home or go to resturant that doesn't prepare fast food. It is partially our faults; our choices, our taste, our laziness. But the fast food industry is the thing tempting us to make these bad choices.

I think we should partially blame the fast food industry for the obesity epedemic in the United States. Yes, the fast food industry does promote people eating their food, even when they know that the food isnt good for the consumer to eat. But the consumer is also to blame. If you know that fast food isnt good for you then why chose to eat it? It is the consumers lifestyle and their choices that are also to blame.

I think fast food is a big factor of obesity in our country. I get that they have nutrition labels and that they have better choices, but there better choices are even bad for you. Their food is to proseesed, nutrient deficient, and has way to many calories and sodium. A great example of this is when you go to McDonalds try and get a large water.... you can't! All they will give you is a small even if you pay for it, but they will go and give out pop all day long.

I don't think this is the fast food companies fault. It's not there fault that millions of people don't make the correct choices. You can make your own food at any point and time. Don't think that it's there means you should eat there. Make your own choices and don't just blame others. Blame yourself too.

I think we should blame the fast food industries for obesity in the USA. Some people don’t know that the fast foods have all that bad calories and fat in their food. The portions are also very big, and some people feel like they should get the bigger size because it will make them feel better. Also, the food is very addictive to some people, that they can’t stop, and they keep getting more and more food as they get fatter and fatter.

No I don't think we should blame the fast food industry. Yes our country is very obese but its not all from fast food. Some people are obese because they make bad choices. And kids are obese because their parents let them eat what ever they like to for instance candy when they should be eating fruits and vegetables. So really its not just the fast food industry it's the people that choose to eat there and the people that make bad choices. These are all reasons why we shouldn't blame the obesity epidemic just on the fast food industry.

I don't think we should blame the fast food industry for the obesity epidemic in America. I mean it is the consumers choice to eat the product. Therefore they are to blame if they become obese. That is my thought on the subject
